When you think of Las Vegas, NV the first thing that may come to mind are all those big city lights, shows, night clubs and casinos, but when you get off the strip of Las Vegas, NV itbecomes so much more. Gorgeous golf clubs, sunshine year round, mountains and mind blowing real estate deals.

The subdivisions below contain some of the most diverse, elegant and prestigious homes in the area

Summerlin -

On New Year's Day in 1952, Howard Robard Hughes Jr. purchased 25,000 acres on the western rim of Las Vegas for an incredible $3 per acre. Hughes originally purchased this land to relocate his California business, deciding later not to relocate. As a result, this land sat for 30 years until 1988 when the grandmother of Howard Hughes, Jean Summerlin began planning this master community located on the western rim of Las Vegas.

Today Summerlin offers incredible views of the Las Vegas strip and a "diverse collection of housing options." This community is home to over 150 parks, 24 public and private schools, 14 churches, 3 hotels, over 24 golf courses, a medical center and so much more. All of these amenities has made Summerlin an example for what living in community is all about.

Southern Highlands -

Co-designed by legendary golf course architects Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr. the Southern Highlands Golf Course is known nationally as not only the best private golf club in Las Vegas but in the entire state of Nevada. Using the natural surroundings to provide exciting shots, this golf course is truly one of a kind, and by making the choice to reside in this picturesque community you can make these hole-in-ones right outside your front door!

This community provides over a dozen schools, over 6 parks, hiking, biking trails and even a couple of dog parks for your furrier family members. The annual events, including the Governors Black Tie Invitation, The Ladies Pink Tee and the Memorial Day BBQ and Fall Festival add to the many reasons families choose Southern Highlands.
